"KIRAN" meaning "LIGHT". "Kiran" is the name of the boy who had laid down his life for PEACE and became the martyrs of Jesus Christ. Kiran Christian Welfare & Rehabilitation Foundation is an independent, non-profit and non-commercial trust (charity).KCW&RF has been working for the betterment lives of untrodden, under poverty-line, poor people of slums and specially people belongs to the Nomadic Tribes, people from the road side, railway station, bus stop and street children's, Destitute women's, Sex Workers their children's, Prisoner's and their families, Blind, Mentally Retarded, Physically Handicapped and New Born Babies . Since work began in 1980 in the slums of Tadiwala Road (Poona) like Sunday School under the banner of "PRAKASH MAHILA MANDAL". KCW&RF has established its constitution and amendments in 2004.

KCW&RF has helped thousands, lakhs and millions of people of different caste & creed through a range of education, free-tuition, academic classes and rehabilitation of prisoners and their families, rehabilitation of Sex Workers and their children's, Employment program for students, Bore-Well projects where there is lack of water or in drought areas of remote villages more than 300 to 370 Bore-Well had been taken under the banner of KCW&RF in the remote villages of Tehsil Daund and in the Districts of Pune, Ahmednagar and Shevgaon.

Until now more than 500 Women's and Girls been released from the slavery of Sex Trafficking and had been send to their remote villages from where they have came like Bangladesh, Uttar Pradesh, Nepal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Assam etc. Rehabilitation and welfare of resourseless people and their children, nutrition & health programmes, free medical check ups in different communities of caste & creed and Child Development Program for the children's of Nomadic Tribals like Vaidus, Nandiwales, Banjaras, Phase-Pardis & people from the slums of different communities, where with free tuition KCW&RF gives free school uniforms, shoes, socks, Text & Note Books, Compass Box, Pencils, Rubber, coconut oil, soaps, KCW&RF is now working in the Districts of Pune, Ahmednagar & Shevgaon and its nearby remote villages.

Our operations are focusing in PUNE & AHMEDNAGAR & SHEVGAON district province of Maharashtra, India. Our grass root actions spreading helping hands for hopeless and helpless people.

We realize a dream of a society based on legitimate rights, equity, justice, honesty, social sensitivity and culture of service in which all are self-reliant. We are vigorously involved to identify with and work along the economically and socially deprived, the physically and mentally challenged- starting with children, so that they become educated, skilled and aware. Enable them to be self- reliant and enjoy a healthy, dignified and sustainable quality of life. And to that end, act as a resource to and collaborate with other agencies- Governmental on non Governmental, as well as suitably intervene in policy formulation.

KCW&RF was basically promoted for the upliftment of Nomadic Tribes, Sex Workers their children's, Prisoners and their families, Destitute Women's and children's, poor people of the slums, down trodden of under privilege categories and under mind weaker section people and children for their socio, economic and educational development with Good news for salvation in our working area for the legal and spiritual entity.

■ The vision which God has planted in us was unflinching and that was our only capital when in a small way we started our work in the slums of Poona, Kedgaon, Ahmednagar, Shevgaon and all its nearby villages mostly in the slums and Tribals of different communities.

■ The industrialization associated with Urban areas in India resulted in an exodus of people from villages to cities. This rapid growth in urban population resulted in the mushrooming of slums. Today almost 50% of any major metro live in the slums. The constraints that lead to ill health, unemployment, crime, immortality, grip the slums situation. They are always neglected and their problems have been multiplying..

The Lord challenges us to reach them with His healing touch and KCW&RF was born in response to His call to Reach Out, Care, Shape & Serve Lives.....proclaim and propagate the Good News of salvation through JESUS CHRIST.
